Introduction

The book of Exodus, and the events narrated in it, is probably the most significant part of the OT
-
Some parts of the story are well known but many Christians do not understand the significance of the events for themselves today
Exodus (12:31-42)

The people left quickly their status changed forever
Passover Rules (12:43-50)

Only those who made the decision to go all the way with God would be allowed to take part in the Passover
The Firstborn (13:1-16)

Every firstborn was to be dedicated to God

Their freedom had been bought at a huge price and it was vitally important that they did not forget it
God’s Presence (13:17-22)

The Lord had saved them …

… then He made the fact that He travelled with them clearly visible
Application
